Catalog Description
Example courses: The informatics exploration option is designed for those incoming students who are interested in the application of computing to meet the needs of today’s society. Students in this exploration option will spend their first year exploring four programs of study (applied networking and system administration, information security and forensics, information technology, and medical informatics) offered in the School of Informatics before selecting a major. The informatics exploration option has been carefully designed so that students will stay on track to graduation regardless of the major they select in the School of Informatics. Each student will have an assigned academic advisor to assist them in their plan of study and facilitate choosing a program.
